24v missing when hot
My buddy has a 98' 24V 5-speed. After about an hour of interstate driving, it develops a very noticable miss. Could an injector cause this or is it more likely to be the injection pump? Truck has about 145000 miles. Has had two new fuel filters changed within last three months and that is not the problem. Haven't checked lp pressure yet but I don't think that would cause a dead miss like this though. Need help asap. SS

start with some info we can use.......
1-your do for a valve adj.
1-we need your lift pump preasure
3-then do a cyl. drop either manualy or with the strobeiscope(scaner) then we will have some info to help you with (and by then I bet you already have solved the problem)

If your starving it for fuel which lubricates and cools the pump internals then yes you can develop these symptoms. Next time he is out and you notice this pull over and put your hand on the inj pump, you might find she is as hot as a fire cracker!!.
With that kind of mileage i cant see the stock lift pump producing much pressure or volume to speak of.
Put a guage on it and check those pressures.
