Does anyone know anybody or have any 24V engine blocks for sale? I know Scheid's has a few new ones, but I don't feel like shellin out a couple grand for just a block.

I have a 53 that hasn't cracked but I dont want to build a motor and have to worry about the possibility of a crack happening.

Anyone have any leads on used motors or used blocks, i'd really appreciate it!

how can you tell if it's a 53 block or not. I have a 2001.

yea, wher is the 53 casting # and what years are they found.

The "53" will be found on the drivers side near the front of the engine. Basically behind the vacuum pump. get a stong flashlight and maybe some spray degreaser/brake cleaner. This block was in 1999-2000, and a few stragglers after that.

 

Do a search about it and there are some pics and directions to tell you where to look.
