241 DHD Transfer case SHOT!
Well my transfer case is shot now with only 140K on the clock. The chain inside is skipping the gears under a load. I got a quote for $1,700 installed with a re-manufactured one. Anyone have any other ideas for a less expensive solution? Can it be rebuilt for less? 2002, DRW, 3500, with a 6 speed.

you could try and find a 271hd out of a third gen. in a scrap yard. Its a stronger t-case than even the 241hd. Getblown5.9 did this conversion to his truck. If you do a search I'm sure you'll find it.
