I have an 01 cummins that dies after it has been running awhile. if your driving it it will just die. dad says he takes the fuel filter out and puts it back in and it starts it might run for three days with no problems then does it again. he just recently put a lift pump on it thinking it was the problem and that didnt fix it any ideas would be great help it needs to be back on the road.

 

Do the three key cycles and read codes on odometer!!! It may be getting time to consider IP replacement. You generally will have a complimentary code to go with issue.
