2001 transmission interlock?

My sister called me to ask if her 2001 2500 Auto has a transmission interlock (have to have the brake on to shift out of park). It seems my 3 year old niece was able to move it out of park while sitting in a drivethru without the brake being depressed. She called the dealer and they said Dodge trucks don't have any interlock (which I know is false). Does anyone know if the 2001 models had this feature?

Thanks!

mine does not, key on and it shifts out of park with occasional jerk of the wheel by occasional jerk on the wheel.

Cool, that answers my question. Thanks!

I just wanted to double check since the dealer said no Dodges have it but my 2004 does.

This sentence raises so many questions I don't even no where to start, but to answer the question, no they don't have an interlock.

Yep, after reading that again it doesn't sound right.

What happend is my sister put the truck in park while they were handing her the food in the drivethru, meanwhile my niece who was in the back seat was leaning into the front to grab a fry, slipped, fell towards the shifter and successfully placed it in low.
