2001 dodge hard starting

2001 dodge hard starting

if you park level to down hill truck starts perfectly but if you park at a slight angle you have to crank over and over to fire truck has new injection pump and new lift pump any suggestions?

there are no visible leaks the truck was doing this before i changed the pumps i moved the lift pump to frame rail next to tank

My truck had the same problem. It turned out I would loose fuel prime due to a crack in the rubber fuel line. I had the line replaced and all was fine afterwards.

which rubber line ive replaced fron lift pump back with new ones

I have the exact same issue. I have replace the lift pump with a Air Dogs so only lines not replace is the return line. I see this is an old post just wanted to see if there was any resolution.

Mine had a bad o ring on a cross over tube and would do the same as yours. I

Mine had no visible leaks until I looked closer. It was the T fitting at the back of the head where the return lines come together. The slight fuel leak mixed with & was mistaken for oil. You can try snugging up the fittings. I had to replace the grommets @$8 each. They look like short pieces of hose cut off. Sorry, I don't know the size specs or they would cost a nickle. You won't need the T.

Buy about 6 cans of brake cleaner and spray all of your injector lines, the back of the head, all of the fuel lines, and anything else you can think of. Then look for the leak, cuz that's what it is....
