I have a Dogde 2000 with 390,000 miles leaking oil in the block on the drivers side. Wondering how i could fix it. Its under the lip next to the injector pump.

 

could be leaking from the vacuum pump seal or more likely from your description the valve liver cover, behind the insulation and the ECM is a cover that runs the length of the block, it has a large rubber gasket around it and it will crack and leak oil over time , if I recall it was a 20$ gasket from cummins

 

to change it the VP and the fuel canister along with the ECM will have to be removed, no need to remove the powersteering pump
