My buddy has a 1999 with the 5 speed manual transmission. Last night he went around a bend in fourth gear and when he tried to accelerate and he had no response. He shifted down to third and gain pedal response and never had any more problems the rest of the trip. Any idea on what the problem might be? Truck has 275,000 miles. Thanks.

 

My first guess would be the APPS.
