That one didn't show on my usual checking site either.

A little research, and I came up with.

P1687 No MIC BUS Messages

No idea what the MIC BUS is.

Any symptoms to go along with the code?

Usually my response to BUS errors is clean all the connections up really good,
reattach everything with some dialectric grease to keep water out.

P1687 = No MIC BUS Message. brief description of DTC, No CCD/J1850 messages received from the Mechanical Instrument Cluster (MIC) module. This is from the 2001 service disk, I have no idea what it means though.

Looks like Phox is a bit faster on the old keyboard than I am.

I would think it could be possible. You may have had power to the ECM but no power to the cluster, thus no comm. Just a guess though.

1693 is the companion code, code telling you that you have a code.

P1687 has already been covered in this thread, instrument cluster.
It has it's own computer, and it isn't talking to the main computer for some reason.
