Have had 6 or so occurrences in the past month where I have absolutely no power -- dash, idiot lights, radio, starter, clicking or anything. Turn key on/off several times and sometimes can see idiot lights very dim but then immediately dark. After numerous key on/off, clutch in/out, everything returns as normal and truck starts right up. Have no idea what made it work. It's always been after I have drove for a while and then shut it off and restart it within 5-10 minutes. Appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!

 

Start by checking every single ground on the truck. Chances are one has come loose and intermittently looses continuity.

 

pull the covers off the steering collum and look at the big flat plug. i had the same issue a few years back and the fat power wire had broke off at the plug. it was cuz the harness is too tight and tilting the wheel pulls on it.
