02' HO sudden EGt issues & trouble codes
I've never had an EGT issue until recently. I've been hauling hay the last week and even with the adrenaline on PL0, I see more smoke than normal and I can't keep the EGT's in the safe zone. I'm having to down shift to 5th gear and let the engine run high rpms in order to make the hill. Prior to this, I could run most tunes on the adrenaline and pull any hill in 6th gear under 1350 degrees.
I'll be pressure testing the intercooler to check for leaks. Where are the most prone spots that leak?
Also, I've got a P0177, P0500, and a P1693 codes coming up.
P0177- Fuel Composition sensor circuit performance
P0500- Vehicle Speed Sensor
P1693- tachometer circuit low voltage
I'm lost as to what these codes actually mean. Any ideas?
Thanks.

check your lower inter cooler boots they rub on the body could have a hole in one. common spot ! if its that buy new ones from piers diesel there a much better hose. the 1693 is a companion code. p0500 will trigger if you spin the tires(gravel road) but it sounds like a boost leak.
P0177 is the code for Water In Fuel.
P1693 is a companion code because other codes were set. Doesn't really tell you anything.
Are your boost numbers lower than before? Or do you see any other reading changes aside from higher EGTs?

The MAP sensor can only be an issue insofar as the Adrenaline is concerned.
Without the adrenaline, disconnecting the MAP will give you no power because the factory software won't deliver fuel until it "sees" air via the MAP sensor. Result: low power, low EGT.
With the Adrenaline in there, the fueling happens whether there's air or not.
Disconnecting the Adrenaline is a good starting point for troubleshooting the rest of the truck.

My max boost is lower than it used to be. Used to be 45-47psi now it struggles to hit 40psi at best. When towing it's also make this coughing sound through the turbo sometimes around 15-25psi in 6th gear around 1600rpms.

What kind of coughing sound? Does your boost gauge start swinging when the noise starts?
How's your airfilter, clean and all intact? Since you're seeing lower boost, I'd expect to see higher EGTs. Now we just have to figure out why the boost is lower.
