'02 6spd & clutch same as '04.5???

'02 6spd & clutch same as '04.5???
Just wondering if there were any changes to the clutch in the new '04.5 "Cummins 600". If not, then the setup in my '02 should be just fine if I increase power to 325hp & 600 torque, right? Surely they would upgrade the design on the new trucks if it would be operating on the edge with that power level.

Nope. Even if they physically are the same, you can't compare them.
The thing is the quality of the power delivery. The new Cummins 600 has a power delivery that is much easier on the driveline. A 2nd gen at that power level is much harder on the driveline.
I am pretty sure that the clutches are the same in size, but the materials are different. So don't expect a 2nd gen to hold that much.
That said, my 2nd gen holds over 350rwhp. I dynoed 390hp and 918 lb-ft.
