Hmmm, 190's or the POD's seem to be the choice. I like the power side of POD's, but I like the economy (lack of smoke) od the 190's...wish the DDP's werent so darn expensive, they seem ideal. Dang, I want something that will excell with the HTT stage 4, After that, I feel I will have to step up to a big boy turbo...hmmmmmmm

Mike, the PODs aren't that bad here, just use the right copper washers. I've been able to pass emissions too with them and drive through the summer with them.

DDP4's are obviously more fun, but for alot more money, no doubt. SMOKE' EM, if you want to see how 4's are firsthand, gotta meet up.

Hey Fred. Haha, you beat me to my next post...What is the importance of the injector washer, and how do you determine it?

The spray angle of the POD is not meant for our pistons. The thinner washer is kind of a bandaid to help get the spray inside the piston bowl.

If they are set up for a 1st gen, I don't think they flow even as much as pods...

They dont have the proper angle for our engines? Is that why they are smokers, the fuel isnt being atomized efficiently? What are they ment for, marine, second gens?

They are for another engine altogether, they just happen to fit. Part of the smoke problem is due to the improper angle, part of it is that they are only 4 hole injectors, and they also have what's known as a "sac" type tip that holds some fuel after injection - a big contributor to the haze they produce on some trucks.

Hmmm, the POD's just dont sound like an overall good solution. Thinking I might save up for some DDP 3's, or 190's.

POD's are good for cheap smoky power, and they are fine as long as you recognize their limitations and drawbacks. You can't beat them on a HP/$$ basis, but they are far from perfect.

SO after all of this, Ive decided to go with the DDP stage 3's. I talked to Ross there and things sound pretty good. Ive been calling around and found out from BD that their xxx's are just POD'S! They are a bit pricey, but I thing the will offer me the best performance for what I have and want. Any one want to contribute to the get mike some DDP 3 fund?

about 600 bones without cores, 550 with. I will either have to wait 3 months for them to get their new injectors that they start with or send them mine. I cant be without mine thou. Im going to try PDR to see if they have some in stock, or try to find some spare stock ones.

Try these if you can find them, its a Bosch # 0432133875. I think there called 185's. Great power without excessive smoke. There right at $900 a set, if you can find em. Power comes on great with a 16cm, 3200 spring, and pump calibrated to high side.
