Well myself and some freinds loaded up and headed out to PA from NC for the weekend..

I had my 1st Gen with my bed camper, my trailer and jeep on back..

I averaged 12.9 MPG on the trip..
even at 70mph on hills never got about 1150 degrees on Pyro..
truck always had plenty of power to pass people if needed..

got entire setup weighted and it was 16,500lbs.. I am just amazed at the power I had with only a few upgrades..

oh and the New Mirrors were AWESOME I could see the entire road with no issues at all..

Yeah I felt the same thing when I started bombing mine, once you get into pump mods, injectors, turbos, you'll never stop going down that "slippery slope"

 

Cool, where in PA did ya head off too? Its great having a load n the edit to get out n pass when ya need to.

Looks like a great truck and a sweet weekend someone is have too much fun

 

Looks like a good load - and that camper ain't improving the aero package any. 12.9 is great mileage with the camper on there.

NO it is not helping at all.

My old Ford F250 would about die when I put the camper in the bed..

the dodge acted like it was not even in the bed..oh and the back of the truck only dropped 1 inch when loaded.. Ford would drop 4 inches

 

I'm guessing with the lesser drop (from insert & trailered load) the ride probably smoothed out a bit and rode a little better?

 

Yeah, they always ride better with a load on. I never thought about it, but with my hitch plate, tools and spare tires, I've always got about 1k in the bed. I cleaned the bed out a few weeks ago and went to the end of the street for coffee and about rattled my teeth out

 

Can you tell me what mirrors you bought and where you bought them from?

I need to replace mine...

yup road like a "cadillac"

this am on way to work with everything unloaded it was a rough ride

 

so the bad news is can not find my past sale on ebay of who I bought them from.. but I know I got them off ebay.. and it was a dodge dealer selling them..

the dealer was in TN.
