okay last week i get my truck going from al the mods and i drive it for an hour, went to the wash, went for dinner, ext.....

so the battary want charging while driving and by the time i got home it was drained (lights being on, electric fuel pump, starting it, ext..)

i think i fixed the charging issue but i wont now till i start it

the truck always started fine even after the mods

so i put it on the battary charger and yesturday i go to start it and it just clicks once and thats it no turning over or anything

any ideas, or things to test

bad connection? bad batt.? or starter?

 

Try beating on the starter with a ball peen hammer or jumping the solenoid and +battery connection at the starter.

 

okay i beat on the starter, i put a dummy ground and power line to the starter and i get nothing,

so i guess in going to pull the starter tomorrow

its funny how they go with out any warnning, started fin the day before

oh and just to make sure theres only two wire going to the starter, right
the power line and the line from the key

k so i pull the starter off and its good, so i put it back on and i find out the problem is between the sylinoyed wire on the started and the battery, so whats there, your key switch and a fuse?

anyways i dont have the pacients to fool around with the electrical night mear on my truck im just going to put a switch in
