Darrin, are your 6x.014 injectors for a non-intercooled or intercooled engine? Do you still have them and are they slightly used or brand new?

darrin,I got an idea,i see you run a denny t fuel pin,put those big injectors in and put in stock fuel pin, rotate it from shallow side to deep side to see how much fuel you want. i ground my own pin,i run it on the dyno, made 330hp,but 1400 + egt , 40+ lbs boost, more turbo lag on the road.i rotate fuel pin to unground side untill boost about 38,egts 1200. truck spools quiker and i drive without worry . dont give up on injectors yet!
Thanks! I don't have the stock pin anymore, but when I did try these injectors it was still in the doner truck, with no intercooler and a restrictive exhaust. Not sure what difference that would make but it smoked way too much for that application. Well see i still own them but I have not got my truck out of winter storage yet, still working on some stuff on it so It will be a week or so before I get it back on the road and start playing with it.

Darrin, do you have a stick or an automatic tranny? If you have a stock auto, you're already on the ragged edge of what it can handle, especially towing.

Mike
Hey Mike I am not worried about the tranny, it has a built C6 Automatic with a low stall towing RV Converter and lots of cooling. Then I run a Gearvenders Overdrive Gear Spplitter that is rated for up to 1200 HP. So overall it is a pretty bullet proof setup.

Intercooled injectors can go in a non intercooled engine with little adapters that come with the injectors.

factory non intercooled injectors just CAN'T go into intercooled heads.

They don't even make aftermarket 9mm non i/c injectors....... you get 7mm's and use the adapters provided
That is my understanding as well, but I didn't know that you cant get the 9mm's anymore.

Non Intercooled, and slightly used.

Thanks again for all of the input,.. still deciding what to do,..
