Will my truck runaway with 4200 spring? its already close
If you guys are serious about a positive air shutoff, I have installed a couple. They are a requirement on diesel trucks used in the oil patch, as there can be fumes in the air that the engine can inhale and run on. They are made by a company called Roda Deaco, and are not cheap, but it sounds like what you are looking for.

Also, I have also just found one sold by BD Diesel, who is a vendor here. Here's a link to their page: http://www.dieselperformance.com/ind...uct/index/187P

Engineered Diesel makes them. I'd buy from them if I were to run one. They aren't cheap but you're paying for precision and the peace of mind knowing it will work when you need it most. IMO of course.
Well I got it put in yesterday, I had the time to do it so tore into my pump and put it in. I also fixed my fuel leak while I had the top off that has been leaking for 2 years (throttle shaft O-ring). It was kind of a pain to get that tight 4200 spring hooked back up to the top hat but I got it. Went to fire it up and it wouldn't run unless I gave it some throttle, it was idling way too low and would die, so i re indexed my throttle and now it runs great. Throttle is way touchy and snappy but I like it. You barely touch it and your already at 2000 rpm. I wanna put this 5000 back on and see how well it spools now because it gets up much quicker. Seems to have a little more pull on top end, but I need to get better lift pump in, 60 lb springs and studs til i really open er up.
Oh and it didn't runaway, it does the same thing as before, as soon as it hits about 1200 rpm in neutral it just takes off on its own til i let off. I put a plastic bag over my filter before I did all this to see if it would kill it in case it ran away... BAD idea! it worked and killed it, but it scrunched up my filter and my rubber elbow that connects to the turbo and that was just idling!
So i bent my filter back out, but it has a nice wrinkle in it now, I recommend just using a board.

Talk to Pwrtrip. He has a 4200 spring on a 12mm head. He swears by it.
It ain't just noise if it's still pulling under load. If it's dropping off that's another story. The dyno graph will tell all

I'd say if your running a big single and wanna get it spooled quick, then the 4200 spring is the way to go! I think it pulls just as hard or harder than the 3200, but it gets up much much quicker. I got a tach so I can keep er safe
Yeah I know, those are coming soon along with studs, gonna do them both at once. But I haven't even gotten it over 3000 yet with this spring, I've been driving it real nice the last few months.
I like mine and yes because the spring is a little longer you do have to index one click further.
I also had fun getting that spring on the top hat the diameter of the spring material is larger..
