Why a Piston LP?
Why a Piston LP?
After searching for hours, I found numerous posts regarding the how, but nothing addressing the WHY!
I'm guessing from design, that the piston LP is more "robust" than the OEM diaphragm LB? Also, guessing better in terms of functionality (more consistent pressure?) , reliability (able to pull cold fuel?), & longevity (likely to operate longer w/o failure?)?
Feel free to give me the newb "Piston LP 101" lecture

My reason would be that this "low sulfur fuel" will not affect a piston,....but it will a diagram!
So why not up date when it fails

Flash.
To my knowledge, YES, a piston-pump does not fail and pump fuel into the oil.
Also, longevity, higher pressure, higher cooling/lubricating volume, more bullet-proof, a stronger more positive primer-pump, etc.
If you run the 2nt gen pump, converted to 1 gen spec......just need to run some new fuel line for it................If you chooses to go with the 2nt gen and its pressure, you have to run a regulator so that there isn't the posibilty of pushing out the seal in the front of the I/P!!!
Flash.
