Who sells 1st gen brush guards, tube bumpers, winch mounts, and front receivers?
Who sells 1st gen brush guards, tube bumpers, winch mounts, and front receivers?
There are a lot of websites that have this stuff, but none seem to list pre-94 Dodge applications.
I really need a set of those bars you step on to get in the cab. Are those called nerf bars? I want the little ones, foot size, not the ones 3' long. My not-so-young-anymore-mother really likes the old beast, gets a kick out of it, but can't climb aboard without a step ladder. Any tips on these are greatly appreciated.
I wish I could find more options for front end pieces, ideally, I'd like a front receiver with a hitch mount, and a tube steel brush guard with lights, and wouldn't a billet grill be nice?
Like the countless different versions offered for Dorf owners?
Does anyone carry this stuff for 1st gens? There must be applications beyond what I can find online?
If not, talk about an untapped market...
Um, I should mention I can't spend a fortune on this stuff, I'm sure Warn would set me up with a super-bumper, complete with big winch, and storage for the included high-lift jack and off-raod shovel-pick-ax set-up, and as much fun as that 500lb. monster would be, $4000 may be stretching the budget a bit. End rant.

I've been looking for the same thing, and have come up with nothing. I'd like a solid Ranchhand style front bumper/grille guard, with a front receiver or winch mount. There's a few companies out there that sell the bumpers, but are WAY out of my price range. I'll probably be building a custom front bumper in the future, just because I have the skills, tools, and a slim budget.
There dosent seem to be much, I was gonna buy a Warn classic style winch bumper for the 93 4x4, but last I looked it wasent avaliable either. I had some of the nerf type bars on my 350 that I removed ( 3 foot ones) they were just bolted to the frame below the cab. pretty much universal fit. I wasent to wild on the 8 holes in the frame on each side to mount then though. Might try 4 wheel parts wholesalers. they been around for a long time and might have a line on something. How bout some full length running boards? got a set from my 93 I want to be rid of.
Look at this website about the bumper and the brushguard.Buckstop there a little expensive but i'm definitely going to buy one when i get some extra money.
Chris
PM me for a picture of a ranchhand bumper on a 93.

Thanks for the advice, guys.
Jeremy, if I didn't have to travel 700 miles to borrow a welder, I would make something as well.
Apache, it doesn't surprise me they want you to drill a bunch of holes to mount a step, I guess I was hoping to hear there are some that use existing holes or clamps or something. Thanks for the offer of the running boards, but I worry that I would leave them wrapped around a rock.
Chris, that is a great looking bumper, thanks for that link.
They are not giving them away, but still cheaper than Warn.
I wish the Buckstop site listed the weight of that puppy, it doesn't look light.
I really love the receiver hitch on the bumper, and the light mounts, and the winch box, and the tow hooks. Yep, fine looking bumper.

Bringing this back to the top, I ordered one of the 1st Gen winch bumpers from Buckmark. I went with the black powdercoat and no brushguard. It looks like a 6-8 week wait for them to have it done and ready to ship. I'll post some pics when I get it mounted.
I just got a set of hoop steps for my Ford on e-bay. They are made by C.A.R.R. mfg. They work great, I only had to drill two holes total to mount them but that is on a 2000 F350 so a Dodge will be different.
