I read a couple of posts that said turn it in and everything I see here says "back it out". The "high idle" guy is the easy one on the outside of the pump isn''t it? Mine has red paint on it and looks unmolested. Please verify. If that's it then undo the locknut and back it our a couple of turns to start? I'm with you guys......I'm goin in up on verification. Thanks a lot you guys.

well depends on how you look at it I guess. Look to see how the trottle hits when you have it at wide open throttle. Then adjust it so the throttle can travel even more then what it does now. Does that make more since to you?

The high idle screw is good to keep over-reeving the motor and also i can see using it as a valet switch if ANYONE ever wants to use my truck. Another thing it should allow more fueling, then you control the rpms with your right foot(once they get too high...).

I guess the name "high idle" kind of threw me. "Rev limit" or "governor screw" would have worked better for me. And yeah "ramit", if a buddy uses the truck or the wife even you could take that screw all the way in and laugh when they say the truck is "gutless". I like it!

Yep, I use mine for when I got to go to emissions. Or If I'm fleeling lazy I put a can of copenhagen under the carpet to "limit" the amount of travel. Then I throw my hat on my tac so they don't see that the truck is only hitting 1500 rpm. I love that those guys are clueless! My farvorite thing is to go to the station by my work and fail at 60-80% then go down to the one by my house and pass at 6%. No matter what you have to pay for the first test. Then the second one is free after you prove you failed the first one. So then I feel like I'm getting my moneys worth. Of course I only do this when I have nothing better to do. The thing that really burns me is that my poor old truck has the same standars is the new common rails, and I can only get 1 year tags and the newer trucks can buy 2 year tags. But oh well I can always make it pass. I'm thinking of taking out my cone just to see if I can make it pass that way next test I gotta do.

i think in buckeye you're still within maricopa county aren't you justin?? i've read AZ's DMV website and it says all other counties have 2 year registration. maricopa county only gets 1 year. strange to me but i that's how it is.

yes sir thats the truth. the worst part is that my neighbors don't have emissions because the town anixed the area where we live and i moved in after they anixed the are, but they got grandfathered in. gotta love the state of az, i want so bad to get out of here! oh well stuck here for a while. i just deal with the emissions once a year for each of the oil burners.

oh yeah! i did that a long time ago. that gave me the full throttle. before that, the pedal would hit the floor long before the linkage came in contact with the high idle screw.
