where to locate close to stock front sway bar bushing

The (2) U shaped ones that mount on the frame. What's weird is I mic'ed the stock sway bar at 1 1/8", and an 1 1/8" aftermarket does not completely (a stab on type) encompass the sway bar, and the new U shaped, flange type, clip that accompanies the bushing that bolts onto the frame does not match the size of the OEM clip. Really, I'd like to go aftermarket, one with a zerk and is greasable. Any recomendations?

Check with Johnny at polybushings.com
I just ordered a set for me 1992 W250 CTD last week. He also has the poly bushings for the ends of the sway bar were the vertical rod drops down to the spring plate.

Hey, thanks a plenty. By chance, do you remember the diameter needed to fit a 4x4 front sway bar?
