There's a black box that looks like it has vents on it tucked into the drivers front fender behind the battery and headlight. Probably an easy question to answer. Just want to know what it does before I replace the fender. Thanks.

 

i think thats the computer type deal, sorry i'm no help but someone will chime in with the correct answer. It's not really a computer but more like a control box i guess.

 

PCM. Be very gentle with it when you remove it. The rest of you, go out there now and talk nice to it.

It is. Just an archaic simple one!! Luckily we don't have much electrically speaking controlling our engines so it's quite simple.

 

i hate how it controls the charging system. no charge= no spark

 

ya, I hate it when I can't get spark!

 

mine hasnt had spark since 92. any cures? lol
