I want to straight pipe my exhaust and I'm looking at just putting a piece of 3" tubing in place of the muffler for now before I go for a 4" system. Where would a guy get a piece of tubing like this? Just any old muffler shop or would I have to get it from a special shop?

I don't know if you watch "that 70's show" but the one episode Red buys a muffler shop and before he does his kid eric spraypaints all the "ler" out of the word muffler.

Anyways back on topic, it looks like I'm gonna be heading down to the muffler shop within the next day or two!

 

I just did this last month. I got a piece of 3" pipe, a couple of couplers, clamps and a hangar at Autozone all for less than $30.
