what years fit what?
Does anyone know offhand the differences between our model year trucks, and the late 70's model year trucks?
I am looking to swap a rear end and maybe front 2wd hubs. Truck is kinda far to drive and "measure" Any help is great.
Thanks

body wise they run from 83 to 93, primary differance is grills and rad core support. now as far as diffs and drive train, i would think they wouldnt work, the 89-91.5 used spicer diffs. perhaps someone a bit more knowledgable can help more.

The majority of the pre-Cummins 3/4, 1 ton rear ends were Dana 60's. Every now and then you'll find a true D70 in a gasser model. Front 1 ton hubs would be the same though.

in the mid 80's Dodge put 9-1/4" 8 lug axles in some 3/4 tons, A serious peice of crap. 72-93 rears will all swap. There are 2 Dana 60 3/4 ton dodge rears at my junkyard and I can get them for $150 each. Don't spend a lot of money.
