What type of trans fluid to put in A518?

My manual says to use Mopar type 7176, or if that's not available, to use DexronII/Mercon. But, the Chrysler type doesn't seem to be as easy to find. Does it matter? What is best to use?

"Valvoline ATF + 3". Precisely for Chrysler. Have had great results for my tranny. Carmyne

I was trailer-towing in the plains states/provinces & needed an oil change. While I wasn't paying attention, they filled it with Dexron vice ATF+3. The shifts were really snappy, very sharp, to the point I thought I'd bend something.

I dumped the Dexron and filled it with ATF+3 and got back to the normal shifts I'd set up.

I found the opposite, I dumped the fluid and then filled it with Dexron. Shifts were now sluggish and late to shift. Drained and refilled with ATF+3, much better.
