What are these vacuum pods?

I have a years and years long crew cab conversion I'm nearing 'completion' on. Need to button up some stuff including my vacuum lines. What are these two things called and what are they for?

The one which is on my drivers fender behind the hood hinge I broke the nipple off of when trying to pull the hose off, so I'm hoping I can source a new one.
I'd love to delete any system I can, but I do want to keep my factory cruise control. Not sure about ABS - any thoughts? Thanks,

The drivers fender piece is the vacuum sensor for the brakes. I have a bunch of OEM ones on my shelf if you need one. Breaking that nipple off is a pretty common problem.

The first pictures shows the Cruise control unit, which I also have several on my shelf, if you are in need.

Copy - I switched to hydroboost, so does the vacuum sensor for the brakes do anything else? Can I just delete it?

As for the cruise control unit, I think mine is still working (although last time I tried the cruise control was a long time ago). I would be interested in having a spare though. I'll PM you.

The big thing for that vacuum sensor is to tell you when to expect mediocre brakes from a lack of vacuum.

Your truck also use vacuum for HVAC controls and the like. but being alerted to a low vacuum scenario would not be life threatening like it would be if you still had vacuum brakes.

You wouldn't by chance have documented this build somewhere that we could visit have you?

I had a little build thread on a different site a while back - I’ll see if I can dig it up. But, it’s not very good or up to date. It wasn’t getting much interest so I kind of stopped trying. Would be good to update it though. I’ll try to link it if allowed

Well, I can't guarantee a whole lot of eyes here either anymore... But the few of us left would be interested. Don't spend a lot of time searching but a link would be fun.
Thanks,
