What other machines have the 5.9 Cummins?

I was wondering what other companies used the 5.9 in? I know Case used it in their equipment, but who else? I know these things have been used in marine as well.

Champion graders used them, have one at work with it. Also a lot of the shi hills around here have them as snow makers and they are quite popular with gensets. Have also talked to farmers who have had them in their combines.

i have seen a couple of them mounted infront of the front bumper on a big mack with 3000 gallon tank. the ones i have seen were used to pump liquid lime on to fields. it pretty cool to see that big of a motor on a pump that was able to unload a semi tanker. It could suck out of the tank on the truck or a semi tanker, it was able to unload a semi in about 15-20 minutes and pump through a 250+ yard hose.

I have seen one in a recycling truck (like a garbage truck) - I think it was a MACK. Non-intercooled 5.9 turbo with an Allison AT545 trans. It was at a surplus auction and no one wanted it - if I had a way to get it home, I would have bought it just to pull the motor. But my trailer will only hold about 5-6k.

They were used in combines as stated , heck , they were just plain used in ALOT of things. The guy my buddy works for , has an old hydraulic powerpack sitting outside his shop that he bought for some reason , and has never used it. We just can't convince him to sell it to us.

where i used to work, we had an fl-70 tack coat truck that had a 5.9. we also had a grove crane that had one. My buddy used to work for Agway delivering heating oil, and he is certain his L8000 had a 5.9 cummins it too.

Other machines i know had them
Case Farm Tractors
Snowblowers that mount in place of a bucket on large loaders usually run them
I've also seen Gensets that have them

Went to Irish Fest in Indy this summer and all of their generators were blue with a huge Cummins C on the side. These things were awesome. They had about 3 to 4 and it powered the entire fest.

Before communist/metric invaded everything, the 5.9 was known as the B-200. It is probably the most widely used small diesel ever made.
