What is an HX35 capable of?
So there's a rebuilt hx35 on craigslist for cheap. Just wondering if this would be a major upgrade over stock? What injectors should I run? How much boost would it make and what hp will it hold?
From what I've read, they are good for about 25 lbs of boost. And will support to about 250hp? Your stock injectors should be fine up to about there I think?
This is just info I have garnered...never really researched it.

If I'm not mistaken the 24v turbos will either be hx35s or hy35s. The hy has a 9cm housing.
If the hx35 is cheap I'd buy it. They are good 35-38psi, will spool faster, have the MWE slot and are happy around 250hp but can actually make a fair bit more than that.

My PDRHX35 is a modified HX35 purchased from PDR (Piers Diesel Research) when it was owned by Piers Harry. I was told not to go over 35 psi except on rare occasions. The most I have seen was 38PSI. You can look at my sig. I have been over 300 RWHP since 2003.

Looks like I'm going to pick it up this weekend. Will the stock injectors be ok? I'm think it just won't smoke as much considering I have the stage 2 fuel pin. Will the factory intercooler pipes mate up to it?
