Question What happens when....

What happens wen u take out the high idle screw??? What does it do performance wise?? Does it hurt anything?

lets you rev higher or get "full travel" if your pedal isn't hitting the floor. Mine is sitting in the glovebox.

Yes it will let it rev higher and maybe pull harder too. Have someone put the pedal to the floor and watch the throttle linkage and see what will give it more travel. I bent my pedal and added spacers behind it so it wont hit the carpet at 1/2 throttle.

It will allow the engine to rev higher before defueling.....especially helpful with a stock gov spring to get more rpms out of it.

Well I figured as long as I keep my foot out of it I wont have any problems. I'll prolly just use it to pass a little ol Prius on tha hiway lol

I have no tachometer on my truck and have had my high idle screw out for a few years now. Even with my 3200 gov spring and my heavy foot I have never had a problem with the rpm's or any engine damage the only thing I notice is high egt's when I hold it to long.

There are no worries in taking the high idle screw out mine has been out for a year or so now. I just backed mine all the way out in case I ever want to put it back in there won't be stuff in the threads.
