What is this electrical harness for?

Well, I took your advise and started looking for the tach harness that is supplied in the '93's and while I haven't quite found it yet, I noticed a female end harness attached with a screw right next to the hood release latch. It has 4 wires coming off of an OEM loom going into this harness. Being the 3rd owner of this truck, I thought it was some mickey mouse deal that the previous owners were attempting to do, but then I noticed it coming off of an OEM loop

Are you positive? It's about 3/8" x 1/2" in size and about 1 1/2" long.

Hey! I just found this one shown on the pic. It was wrapped up in a white tape, waiting to be found! Now that I located the tach harness, still want to know what this little one is for...

What color are the wires? I'm curious too, I'll look in my FSM and see what I can find.

There's a small plug on my hood release, but that's the RWAL diagnostic plug and it only has one wire to it.

The only thing I can find is the "rolls" test connector that they used on the assembly line to make sure the PCM was hooked up right. Wire colors for that should be 2 red and 2 white, each with a purple stripe.

No. That didn't happen until the late '90's.

The ROLLS test connector is part of the RWAL sensor circuit. It allows you to hook up a lab scope while driving to monitor the RWAL sensor pattern.
