What do you think?
I think you've just produced one of the best looking rides on here...
I agree with everyone else here...... Some sort of nameplate on the flat area in the tailgate.
If it was mine, the only thing that I would change is to have Linex spray the inside of the bed, so besides having a show truck, I could still haul stuff around without fear of causing scratching and future rust areas in the bed.
One Warning for you as well.....
If you don't put a bumper on that truck, and someone hits you from behind.....even @ 5mph, you're going to kick yourself after you beat the snot out of them....
EDIT.... I like the hitch, as I didn't see it before.

I will second that, for some reason I keep coming back to look at the pictures....
Perhaps a first gen W250 set up like a forestry truck? Or perhaps a Dodge interpretation of the Ford highboy?
Just freakin awesome, another project rolling around in my head..........

i wanted a stepside bed.but,i felt the rounded fenders on an old dodge bed just didn't seem right with the square lines of our cabs.never really liked chevy stepside beds from the 80's.fenders always seemed to big and bulky.thought about it for quite some time and started looking for parts to mock up a bed.didn't look to bad.so i took a chance and put one together.a lot of work on a chance it would look ok.i think it worked!and thanks to all of your good comments i feel good about the project. oh,by the way, this is no show truck.it's a work truck.it gets used.
I like it. If you want to see what stacks would look like on a truck like that, check out season 2 of Justified. There was a step side Dodge with Stacks on episode 3, I think. Looked good.
Looks great! In 1979 Dodge brought out the "Lil Red Express" which was a 360cid gasser regular cab stepside. Your rig reminds me a lot of that epic truck! BTW the "Lil Red" was faster than the production Corvette of the same year!
you know, you guys got me thinking.how about a "big red diesel express" ? with the 8 foot bed and the diesel i think that would work.it has a red interior, but changing the color from silver to red is more than i want to do at this point. i can't take it all apart again to paint it. i think i am running out of ambition. but you know it's a great idea. wood on the bed and a "big red diesel express" decal on the door.i just never thought of that. oh well wishful thinking. by the way my jackass exhaust pipe is gone!
