Toyz, are you trying to start WW3?

No not trying to start WW3-- just a really intense debate. I know with my current setup things get toasty pretty quick when I haul a fairly load ( JD 4440 tractor). I realized to late that I should have gone to a bigger upgrade than I did. I am now wondering do I go with a Gillette stage III upgrade, an S3000(will I be able to spool an S3000), water/meth or a combination? I realize I am a bit off the original post, just some questions I have. Didn't mean for this post to get so long.

My simple rule of thumb on turbo/injectors, i know lot of ppl have differant views. It needs air, a turbo will do more good than just about anything. On ours if you dont want a hotrod just crank fuel screw up and get a good turbo, it wont smoke a lot and egt will remain low because of the added air. Mines a hybrid, its an hc with hx-40 comp wheel and a 18 housing, it spools fast and has no problem supplying the air. But remember contrary to every one under the age of 25 smoke is not a good thing, its just wasted fuel.

wait to start. . . .

Yes I know what the " wait to start" light is for but what does it mean when it blinks at you while the truck is running? Just cant seem to figure this one out.
thanks, Max

That means that there is an open circuit in the air temp sensor circuit.

A/C hose assembly w/intercooler replace or rebuild?

First let me just say this website is my second favorite thing besides my 91.5 D350. I have been getting tons of useful information about mechanical problems that I've been dealing with. I'm new here so thanks for putting up with a newbie. I have searched the sticky looking for an answer to a particular question I have but not quite finding anything specific.

Recently I lost all cooling in my A/C system. After reading some of the common problems addressed here I did a quick inspection of my cooling system. What I found was a loose fitting on my A/C hose assembly. I only have gauges for r-134a refrigerant and I don't want to commit to permanently attaching them yet as I would rather keep running r-12, so I don't know if I still have any charge left or not. But from the looks of the oil on the hose and how loose the fitting is I'm going to go out on a limb and assume it's empty. The fitting that's loose looks different from any of the others so I took some pictures of it and I'll try to attach them to this reply. The only replacement hose I can find is for a non intercooled engine. Does anyone know if I can get it rebuilt? Thanks for your help!

theres an o=ring inside, you need tool seperate the fitting, but chances are you just need o-ring.

I have an A518 auto trans that I'm changing fuild in and going to adjust the bands. If you just change the fuild in the pan there is still a large amount of old trans fuild left in internals. There was a thread for a procedure on how to remove most or all the old fuild and I have searched and searched and can't find it. Can someone tell me the procedure on how to do change ATF the right way?
