Question what is the difference between a Dana 60 rearend and a Dana 70 Rear?

I am looking at overhauling my Dana 70 in the 93'. I have a good friend that has all the specific tools for spreading the case on a Dana 60 rear. Will these same tools work on the Dana 70? I am wondering what is the real differences between the Dana 60 and 70 rearends? I am specifically refering to Dodge 3/4 & 1 ton rearends only. Any insider knowledge/info would really help! Thanks

I didn't use a case spreader on mine an I've got about 60,000 miles on it so I must've done it right.

Hhhmmm............so the 70 and 60 are similiar? It would be nice to have more options for interchangeability.
