what causes injector bodies to leak? these are stock never touched injectors on a truck that sat since last fall.

I took mine apart to clean them and when I out them back together one of them was leaking. I had to take the leaky injector back apart and carefully clean it back out an put it back together. It was leaking because I had gotten a small piece of grit inside it. Other than getting something inside them I have no idea why one would start leaking. There are no seals inside the injectors to wear out, I would pull the leaking injectors and try tightening the two pieces of the injector bodies and see if that helps.
