What causes the charging system to not work?

I have a new PCM and new altenator still not charging? My o/d doesnt work eithir but i dont know if the POT went out? Do POT go out? How do you test relays? I switched ASD relays and nothing buy i dont know if there both bad?

Your PCM is not getting a signal from the crank sensor. Check the wiring to the crank sensor, especially where it goes past the belt and where it comes around the front of the head. Also check the sensor gap. Should be 0.050", and is supposed to be checked with a non-ferrous feeler. A folded over matchbook cover is about right. A little close is better than a little far.
