What is this?

1992 Dodge W250 Cummins-



Found this plugged in under the dash near the e-brake and hood release. I would like to replace it but have no idea what it is.

Ya, like a small one. I put a meter on the plug and with the key off and door open all legs are not powered. When the door is shut one pin gets 12v....

Thats the timer for the light around the key in the steering column.
also called time delay relay
also called ignition switch lamp relay
They get HOT- I take em out of all my trucks

Ma Mopar has been using those exact relays since the early 60's. Why remove it? Yes it gets hot since it is a thermal switch, but I think it's great that the Halo ring comes on.
