warped head maby?

well i got a problem. any time i am running 10psi boost or more the rediator starts pushing coolant out the over flow. and if i start it in the morning to let it warm up for about five minutes the RAD hoses are rock hard. iv changed the thermostat, radiator cap, now i was thinkin about replacing the head gasket again. anybody have any ideas wat could be causing this?

Sounds like a blown head gasket to me. I see you have studs, but is the head o-ringed?

rollincoal23 they don't make that gasket yet lol, they would never sell any. The big boost numbers you can put out probably blew your head gasket. Cummins gaskets is the choice, from what i've been told a .020 over thickness is what you want but check with the more knowledgeable guys on here. O-ring that bad boy and your supposed to be good to 65 70 psi boost I think. Good luck with it and another congrats.

Question

I see that there is a MLS HG for the 12 valve. The 3rd GEN owners have had
good luck running these with ringed heads. Wonder how it would do with a 12er....

Get the 0.020 over Cummins gasket. The 14mm studs and the o-rings will keep it together.

Didn't they recall the 12v MLS gasket for more R&D? Or am I thinking of something else?

Not that I know. Put one on today, bought straight from RMC. The one thing that will mess with one, is that if you blow it between the cylds it will "HEAL" itself so to speak. Carbon will pack into it. It will be fine untill you start running it hard and building tons of boost, then it will rear its head. And that is what happened to the one that I R&R today. Have two 12 valvers here that run the MLS with ringed heads. And a ton of boost. Zero problems.
