On the external voltage regulator, there are only two wires; where do these two wires end up at and what purpose does each serve ??

Where is voltage "sensed" to tell the regulator to turn ON/OFF the alternator ??

What is the amp rating of a stock 89-91 alternator ??

yes this is the way to do it like hot dawg said get the connector that goes along with the regulator as well i got one from bumpur to boumper for like 20 bucks reg and wiring. my regulator pigtail came with a blue and green wire like the alt so i hooked them up that way. then i spliced another wire from the battery positive to the 12volt source (top prong) on the v regulator
