Vibration after brake job

So I did a brake job on both of my Dodges and have had a wobble-like vibration on BOTH vehicles around 50-60mph ever since. I did the work on both vehicles at the same time and neither had a vibration before.

Vehicles are '92 W250 club cab A/T and a '90 Ramcharger with 6BT, A518, W350 axles.

I swapped the W350 front hubs over to my W250 at the same time so I could run regular wheels on the RC. The tyres on the RC are brand new 235/85/16 Michelin M/S2's and the tyres on the W250 are an old set. I had to replace the rear drums on the RC, and I removed the rotors on both sets of hubs whilst doing the job. I also had to replace a couple front wheel bearings.

I re-torqued the lug nuts thinking it may have been the studs finally re-seated but to no avail.

Almost feels like a wheel is out of round or out of balance... On BOTH vehicles though, right after doing the brake work???

This is driving me nuts....

What this describes is classic wheel balance problems. Did you rotate the tires? Wheel weights may have fallen off or they were balanced tothe old parts that were way out of balance...Mark

The thing is both vehicles started doing it after the job.

I don't recall ever seeing a wheel balanced in conjunction with the axles...

I'm going to take a closer look.. A friend of mine was around when I did the job.. He could be F'n with me and removed/added weights. When I worked at a dealership I used to mess with the other techs by putting sticky weights on their wheels and other moving parts of their personal vehicles...

Wheel Centering?

Chrysler TSB 22-02-92

Also, the shop I used said that the Chinese rotors are almost always slightly warped. A kiss on the lathe, and they are good to go.

Did you turn the rotors? Sometimes when you r/r the rotors on the hub they can get warped.

But, wouldn't a warped rotor vibrate at any speed?...Mark

I had new tires mounted on my truck. It hopped like a frog. Sorta had to bully the tire shop into doing the TSB, but they did it. It's a different truck.

Pretty stoopid design that doesn't center the wheels. At least with the Chicago Wobblers they'd straighten out if you paid attention without special tools.
