VE Still Leaking

Recently I had fuel leaking from the AFC overflow, and thanks to all the helpful people in the 1st gen forum I put a new O-Ring in that seals the horizontal fuel pin. I thought that I did everything right, I lubed the o-ring and the pin when I reassembled, but it is still leaking. It's not pouring out anymore, but over the last couple weeks it has started to drip. I used the green o-ring, which is the one I was told to use. I called a local pump shop, and the guy said I probably scratched the o-ring. I don't think I did, because I was very careful. Any thoughts?

When I had a slight leak i pulled the fuel return banjo bolt and cleaned out the small hole that is in it. That was when the leak went away. The Banjo bolt is located right above the shut down solenoid near the cylinder head. it had some black rubber wedged in it. Do you know how much pressure the lift pump is putting out?

Thanks for the info. I'll check out the banjo bolt. No, I don't have a fuel pressure gauge.

Checked the fuel return banjo bolt, cleaned it and it is still leaking diesel out of the afc overflow. I really don't want to tear into the pump again, but I guess I might have to. Any ideas on what I might have done wrong. I was confident I did it right. Did I snug up the o-ring retainer (the one that seals the horizontal fuel pin) too much, or is that possible. It has developed a steady drip, and I don't want to pay a pump shop the $$$ to fix it.
