VE pump power screw adjustment question
VE pump power screw adjustment question
I was working on turning my pump up tonight, I don't have any idea what adjustment had already been made to the pump, other than early I had backed it out 1 turn. So i turned it back in about 1 turn tonight seemed okay but I took it out for a spin and some thing is not quit right.
I didn't readjust the idle this time so it idles a bit high, that okay with me. But the problem seem to be that the engine doesn't like to slow down very well.
What I am wondering is does the higher idle cause this, or is the power screw in to far, is it on the border of a runaway.
Any input would be helpful.

X2 sounds like it is on the edge of hanging, I would back it at least 1/4 of a turn.
There should be instructions in the sticky on how to adjust it and check for hanging.
You could be in for the ride of your life.
Be sure when you turn it up you have the intake open and a block handy to snuff it out just in case.
Believe me it happens quickly before you have time to think.
