NOn i/c lines are bigger.

Pulltil said you gotta swap the DV holders, I don't think you have to swap the DV's themselves

Whats all involved in swappin KSB's ?? simply take the one off the 93 pump and put it on on the older pump?? like that little line/hose and stuff, and the "solenoid thingy"

So in other words if someone were to swap to a non i/c pump they would need to run non i/c injection lines?

No? becase the fuel lines come up in the same spot?

But if i understand it, the threads on the end of the injection pump are BIGGER than I/c injection line ends??? like where they screw together.

O ok thanks Brandon! Reason I asked is the pump on my blue truck went out and I found a pump but its off a equipment engine( like a tractor or something) and it did not have an intercooler. Sry for the hijack. Thanks again

It may have a different governor setup, NO AFC, different throtttle linkage... be casreful with buying the equipment pumps. Do alot of looking at it... maybe make a thread and post it up for us to see.

Ill do that, I took the top part off the pump and internaly it looked the same as the one that came off the truck. The only thing visually I seen different was the equipment pump had no cold start advance thing on it. So I dont know if that will make a difference or not. The fuel screw was a little diff. in the fact that it did not have the same threads as the other one it had smaller diameter threads on the part that goes into the pump but was the same overall length as the other. So i just swaped pump tops with my Denny t pin and 366 spring. But ill get some pics and post them up

The non-IC lines and IC engines use different line routing. There's stuff in the way of doing a swap.

If you try to put a non-IC pump on an intercooled engine, the trouble you run into with the lines is that they are near impossible to install because the ends of the delivery valves are too far back.

So thats what you have to swap from the I/C pump... I believe Pulltil did it and i sent him PM how hard it is to swap the DV holder.

The prev. owner said he was driving it for weeks and was running like crap, one day he was accelerating, shifted into 3rd and it shutoff, now it won't start ever since, ~2 years later.

I got it cranking and it has no fuel at all to the injectors, and makes weird whiney sound coming from the pump, I tried everything obvious, nothing. so i'm saying it needs a new pump. no fuel to the injectors means something catastrophic failed.

So Dave, In your opinion, Is it tough and doable to swap the DV stuff from the 93 pump to the non i/c pump?? That pump on ebay is just such a good deal, can't resist it. But theres also a few 92-93 pumps used around the forums for $200-$250 (cumminsforum,1stgen.org)
