ValveBody Removal Tip's...Please

Can anyone give any Tips or useful Links for a A518 or 727 would be great..At the moment I need to know how to Unhook the Internal shift linkage that's attached to the top of the valve Body..THANKS in Advance!

For the internal park rod, move the external shift lever all the way forward to put the VB in first, that will expose the e-clip. Use a long thin screwdriver and a magnet tip to pop it loose and catch it.

THANK YOU !!! Do you happen to know what the symtoms of the vale body "the TORX one's" TOO Tight? I'm getting a FLAIR and a LOUD Groaning sound as it shifts into 3rd..any idea what could be Groaning inside?

Does it actually go into 3rd? How's reverse? It sure sounds like the forward clutch is toasted.

Im looking inside of it now...it all looks fine..I have the valve body apart now and it seems to look fine also...anyone have a pic of where the ***** go back in..Im 99% sure i know where but would like to be 100%..Yes 3rd and reverse shifted fine..is the rear band 72in lb then 2 3 or 4 turns...thank you

I think you need to keep pulling it apart. Your problem is in deeper than a valve body and band adjustment.
