vacum hose help!
vacum hose help!
I was replacing the vacum hose on my 93 W250 today, from the brake booster to the speed control servo. I was also going to replace the vacum hose to the drivers quarter panel mounted "gizmo". Where the hose branches at a 3 way tee connection - from the brake booster to the servo, then to the brake booster tee to a "gizmo" mounted on the drivers side quarter panel (which has an electrical connection plug on it). Anyways, the plastic male vacum hose end on the "gizmo" broke. Soooo, now I need to replace this "gizmo." What's this "gizmo" called? Is it an idle air control module? I searched the fsm, but couldn't locate a match.
Sounds like the low vacuum sensor. You don't want to replace it, just fix it.

Dave,
Thanks for the forum link to the mig tip fix for the low vacum sensor! That's a nifty way of fixing the broken male vacum nipple. I will probably just plug the vacum hose to the sensor, until I get around to the mig tip fix
