using a nv-4500 to replace a getrag in a 4x4

I remember the 1 st gen bellhousing bolt pattern is a little different.
I want to install a nv-4500 in my '85 crew with a cummins and a 727 already. I want to install the nv-4500 [tranny only] using a complete getrag 4x4 tranny and transfercase, bell, flywheel and such.
What sort of stuff will I need?
I am thinking transfercase linkage / bracket. I have seen the bracket from Advanced Adapters for like $50
Maybe a 2nd gen engine adapter plate? 2nd gen starter too?
I can use the same bellhousing with a little customizing right?
I am just trying to get all the parts lined up so the truck isn't in the shop while I search for parts
Thanks

I went this way in 2004 and it's working just fine:

This kit is roughly the same cost or in some cases less than the cost of replacing your engine adapter plate and bellhousing, buying the replacement hydraulic clutch parts, buying a new replacement starter, and fabbing up a transfer case mount bracket.

I am back on this project as I think I sold the 727 4x4 tranny in the old cummins powered crew cab.
I fiqured that was a good way to get the ball rolling on the project! That silly shifter comming out of the steering column has got to go.
I have a complete '97 cummins truck with a NV-4500 4x4 with a cracked transfercase.
A manual splined np-205 and all the pedals and stuff in a '90 cummins w-250.
I also have a '92 gasser w/ the nv-4500 4x4 I was going to use the shifter and boot if it worked better than the '97 stuff.
I am going to put this tranny on my '90 cummins that is under the hood of my crew cab already.
I am thinking about using the 2nd gen adapter plate and starter from the '97.
I am going to fill the np-205 and nv-4500 with fresh Castrol Syntorque.
I need the custom bracket from Advanced Adapters, maybe a new South Bend clutch...
Clutch hydraulics? - Maybe the '92 gasser w/ the nv-4500 would have the same hydraulics to work the 2nd gen diesel nv-4500 and work with the 1st gen pedals
Tranny mount? I remember something about a two inch boxed steel spacer to get the tranny to sit right ?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.
I would like to have all the parts I'll need in the garage before I disassemble my summer ride in the middle of summer
Thanks
