The only alternative to Chicom stuff I've seen is the made in England pump. I've found them pretty cheap on Ebay under ag equipment like Case that has a 6BT in it.
I would tend to agree with the previous sentiment about "made in China to Cummins standards".
I think your best bet for Made in USA is going to be NOS at a Dodge or Cummins dealership or maybe an ag equipment dealer. There is a fair amount of ag equipment with Cummins 6BT or 4BT engines.
If I run across 2 Made in USA units I'll send you one!

I replaced both my 1991.0 and my dad's 1997 5.9 water pumps with cummins water pump$$$$$ (bought at cummins pacific in west sacramento) I think they were something like 150 odd dollars each.

The old pumps I removed (without any issues) were made in england. The NEW cummins pump$$$$ were cast made in INDIA.

I used a duralast on my '72 back in the day with no issues at all. I would run an autozone pump over a napa, tbh.

Thanks Nick,
I saw Geno's carries the Gates water pump for $50 or so, and a Cummins water pump for about $160.

I got the new Cummins water pump yesterday, it was made in India.
It has the non shrouded impeller blades.
I will update if there are any fitment issues when I bolt it on.

It will be fine if you meditate before installing it. In fact a little yoga couldn't hurt (or maybe it will)

Shouldn't be any fitment issues. I installed a Cummins water pump last year.

Yup, and like I mentioned earlier in the thread, I have installed (2) ea indian pumps on my 1991.0 and dad's 1997. To date there have been no issues in 10K plus miles combined.

Let's see, American Flags are made in China,
Our military's clothing are made in Vietnam,
Auto parts are made in China, assembled by children,
American people are made in,
Wait,
there aren't any more where I live.

Napa has been selling junk for awhile now.
A1-cardone, ever experience their master cylinders or brake boosters?

Couldn't get a brake booster to work. Not assembled correctly.

Quoted for truth. Glad you are an admin here Jim!

Ane the Dodge first gen Diesel Club cabs were all made in Saltillo Mexico vs. Reg Cabs in Detroit.

I have talked to several different people who actually thought that Mexico was our 52nd state.

So...you're saying that it would NOT be inappropriate to put a La Cucaracha air horn on my '92 CC??

My '90 standard cab, chassis/cab truck was assembled in Mexico, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe all chassis cabs were assembled there.
