My headlight switch went bad about the second night I ran it after putting in the Sylvania Extravision headlights. Ended up busting the headlight door I got off ebay. I guess I should have trimmed the hole the socket goes in when I put it on. Ruined the socket too. Got a junk replacement socket from Napa. Junk replacement parts are ticking me off lately.
I ended up putting my right headlight on relays, it is enough that my headlights won't kick out now. I am going to put the left on its own, too. Decided to start over and put the relays and fuses and such under the hood and run the wires to the back in some sort of hose.
Have to put my front signals on relays, too. I put 4 inch 2-sided signals on the inside of my grill guard uprights. I was going to put amber lenses on the back side but I think the red works well against the grill guard and grill. Not sure, but may eliminate the stock signals, having the others on the grill.
Got my new taillights in. I got the LEDs mounted in the reflector area at the top, but didn't have the time to wire them yesterday. I can now actually see both tail lights in my mirrors. Of course, I had to ream out the holes the sockets go into. The left back-up light is the only one that slid right in, the other three needed trimmed. One took quite a bit of trimming.
