ok so an update is in order if anyones interested-

so i finally have all my tranny parts and my trans is near done just need to put the OD unit on and the pan and work out some bugs. i have what i beleive is all the parts to install but let me know if im missing something

driveshaft and slip yoke, rear main seal, new trans isolators top and bottom. just need a pressure switch and fluid i think

also i got those nice anchor motor mounts that i might try and see if i can get in sunday. that will deffinatly help with the ratting and shaking on shut down.

but on a side note i got a cool new toy for my truck. its a SP performance shut down timer. got it off ebay and hooked it up and i really like it. pretty simple install, had some help from my brother because im not the most savy at wiring but its got setting from 1-5 minutes and its also got convienience mode which u can put on to keep the truck running while u run into the store, and it will disengage when the key is turned on again. its also got the brake emergency theft which is cool to.

 

Post a pic of your turbo timer. I need to get me one of those.

 

nick, what are you going to use for a flex plate?

 

i got a stock 2nd gen flexplate for now. really after all the money i spent on the trans i dont have the money to drop on a PATC flexplate. i think ill be ok i really just want to get the trans in. and m parents have been hounding me to get it in after all the money i spent on it

oh yea almost forgot to ask, what do you guys think is a reasonable time frame to get motor mounts in? like 1 or 2 days?

The motor mounts shouldn't take more than a half day.

 

yep goerend converter and 2nd gear starap anchor and shift foot. thanks dave i think im going to tackle them next weekend.

 

Nick if you want to come up on Saturday we can put it under the hoist and lift the motor up a bit to get them out. I also need to do mine.
