Undercarriage shots...help the insane
I'm looking for a birds eye pictures of an engine and frame from our trucks.
I've searched the forum, google, ebay, and a few other sites and have had no luck.
A roll over picture will do with both sets of axles in picture, in order for me to share my idea i need a few visuals and cannot do so without a good drive train shot + Photoshop creativity :-)
Thanks in advanced,
Nick
i can't wait to see what you guys got.

Twin Turbo...Twin Engine!!!
Ok so to start here is a quick paint photograph.

The idea is to add another motor and trans in the bed of your truck and use the driveshaft to power the front diff. The engines must be wired to accelerate at the same rpm and the transmissions must shift at the same time. The motors could be controlled with two throttle cables to one gas pedal. The transmissions would need to be thought through more but im sure if they will shift just about the same considering its speed governed.
The idea behind this came from a GM beretta that gm's special team put together back in the late 80s early 90s. Since then there have been auti TT Subaru WRX and Hundi tibberons and elantras that ive seen videos of. Nobody had tried to do a RWD vehicle... So i got to thinking about how a 4x4 could be made into one of these contraptions. The motors could be mounted straight and the driveshafts would need to be run perpendicular to each other and have some clearance. Other than that i think it would be relatively easy... what do you think?
I would think the longer the truck the better, might make it easier to route the driveshafts if they were to be a 2 piece style.
This would make launching your truck in "4 Wheel Deive" safe on your transfer case, considering there is none.
Another thought was to having the correct rotation for the front drive shaft, it does require the drive shaft to spin the opposite way correct? thus spinning the engine around 180* one would accomplish this with ease.
A few more thoughts were as to make this beast handle better. Adding a set of beefy sway bars to make the back squat when toque is applied to the chassis, and the front to push the right tire back down when its lifted up.
A pretzel effect: Having two 300+HP motors making about 2000 ftlbs of torque combined could result in the frame twisting up like a pretzel under its own power.
Feel free to cut-up disect and criticize everything as for im a little dilusional from all the coffe

A guy did something like that with a Detroit or a Cat in a 1/2 ton Ford with a 6 cylinder gasser. Kept the gasser set up and had the rear diesel powering it too. Odd set up.
There is a guy by me running I can't remember how much horsepower through a transfercase in his supercharged gasser lobsterboat (for racing only, and since I know Richie will wonder, the boat's name is Wild Wild West!) I doubt an NP205 would break from launching if the shafts were good. No chain.
