twin turbulators and resto.
well another day done ...got way less then i expected done.but thats alway the way it goes.had my down pipe almost perfect then made one cut 100% wrong had it set in the chop saw upside down
.then that let it to be slightly off when i put it back in the truck.= had to "massage" the pipe a little in the vise and took about 3/16th off the frame.
wraped it ...going to get some more and go to the end.
adapter to 4" for now until my budget allows 5" all the way back
also build a shield
fits great and has about 1/4" clearance everywhere.
if i wasnt so crunched for time i would do TONS of things different. but this is my first twin set up......its a learning curve
TEST DRIVE TOMMOROW
iam excited.

wait till you see my twin aircleaner setup iam building. twin 580cfm BHAF should give me some air
so my turbo drain leaks from the ******* bung i made (welded) to the bottom turbo mount...............very gay as the turbos have to come out.
went down the road and my 60 psi guage only hit 32 .kinda ran out of road.
small exhaust leak at hot pipe between the turbo's. may just be the clamp needs more tightening.
the exhaust downpipe seams to touch the frame when reving/underload...
i might let it self clearance.
its dark now and very cold so iam inside.
i need daylight and a spotter for tunning
and a warm shop to do this stuff in.............iam done with working outside.
first to do list is 100psi boost guage and oil leak.
then tunning.
then put the rest of the truck back together.
tommorow i have the day off...............well to work on the truck

I can hear your teeth chattering, lol We have it easy here, was 75* today, but high of 49* tomorrow. That would probably seem warm to you.
iam used to working in it.. but this project is different, i spent most on the time standing around scratching my head
Wow, I honestly think that working outside on a truck at those temps I would have trouble thinking clearly. I could use a large heated garage myself.
Before i built my new garage i had an 80 chev with 6'' lift and 38's. I had to put the 31'' tires on in the driveway at -40C/F to get it into my existing garage door. That was the deciding moment to build a 9ft door on my new garage.
At that temp air tools freeze up pretty much instantly, hand wrenching only

so test drive did not go so well.
the s476 that i put on that was rebuilt from a reputable shop now has the impeller touching the housing.
not sure why but it needs to come out
oil leak on my bottom turbo drain. its either the bung i welded or the hose crimp.
everything else look ok.
but lots of work to do.
unfortunatly the fact the weather is cold and i cant get much done when its dark. this finish will be a while.
dont expect to much updates

They usually are. The problem is when you have to either constantly take the gloves off to do things that require the dexterity of bare hands and fingers, or constantly handling cold metal that is the same temp as the outside air and you can't wear mitts because they are too big and cumbersome!
